Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp insists Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley hasn't made it as an England player.

Cleverley impressed in victory against Moldova.

Redknapp told The Sun: "Tom still has a way to go to break into England's midfield on a regular basis.

"There is Lampard, Gerrard, Michael Carrick and Scott Parker in that area as competition for him.

"What Tom needs is a steady run of impressive games for Manchester United to keep improving, so he can at least force his way into Hodgson's thinking every time he names a squad."
