Ex-Tottenham boss Jol top candidate for Fulham job

Former Tottenham boss Martin Jol is wanted at managerless Fulham.

The Daily Mail says Jol heads Fulham's managerial wish-list as they seek a replacement for Mark Hughes.

The London club will chase the man they first targeted 12 months ago after receiving feedback that he is prepared to return to London.

An attempt to capture the former Tottenham boss ended messily when he was persuaded to stay with Ajax following a protracted tug-of-war.

But, with his stay at the Dutch giants having ended last season, he is now set to manage in the Barclays Premier League again.

Fulham's swift action will head off any likely approach for Jol from Aston Villa, as they seek to replace Gerard Houllier.
