Ex-Tottenham boss Graham: Season fortunes decided by Modric attitude
Former Tottenham boss George Graham feels manager Harry Redknapp can be pleased with their summer market.
Graham rates their signing of Scott Parker highly.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "Tottenham could also have signed Scott Parker as soon as West Ham went down, if they wanted him badly.
"But I have to say, the chairman Daniel Levy took a brave stand over Luka Modric. The manager Harry Redknapp had his choices limited by injuries and yet Modric says he does not want to play two hours before the kick-off !
"But he played, he has stayed and it will be interesting to see how he does this season.
"If he doesn't perform, people will say Modric should have gone. If he does well, the chairman will get all the plaudits."
But Graham acknowledged the signing of Parker will be a significant boost, adding: "Harry has now got Emmanuel Adebayor.
"He has wanted a top-class striker for some time and now he has Adebayor. I hope he can get the best out of him."
