Julian de Guzman has joined German 2.Bundesliga club SSV Jahn Regensburg.
The 31-year old Canadian international has signed a deal with the second tier club until June as a free agent.
Former Toronto FC midfielder de Guzman was released by FC Dallas at the end of the 2012 MLS season and was not picked up in either round of the Re-Entry Draft.
Jahn Regensburg currently sit at the foot of Germany's second division with just 13 points from 19 matches and CEO Franz Gerber was hoping he could bring some inspiration to the club.
"He's a tackling midfielder and has plenty of international experience," Gerber told the club's official website. "It will definitely help us in the fight for the league."
