Former Sydney FC boss Pierre Littbarski is eyeing the coaching job at Adelaide United.
The German World Cup legend is keen to return to Australia and sources close to Littbarski have told tribalfootball.com he is applying for the post at Adelaide United.
The Reds are on the lookout for a new coach after Aurelio Vidmar's departure, for the Australia U23 job, which tribalfootball.com first broke yesterday.
Littbarski is available after ending his two-year stint in charge of Liechtenstein's FC Vaduz, where he led them into the Europa League.
He has been linked with the manager's jobs at Plymouth Argyle and Notts County in England since the end of last season.
