Paulo Sousa is the latest name to be linked with the New York Red Bull's head coach vacancy.
The Portuguese tactician was tipped as 'a good bet to be the next coach of the New York Red Bulls' by ESPN pundit Alexi Lalas on The Shot on the weekend.
Former Leeds United and Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister was heavily linked last week but ex-QPR, Swansea City and Leicester City boss Sousa is now first in the queue to replace Hans Backe who was sacked late last year.
Sousa, who currently manages Hungarian outfit Videoton, would become the second Portuguese coach to take the reins at New York following Carlos Queiroz's tenure back in 1996.
