Tobias Hysen has expressed his delight after securing a move to IFK Gothenburg from Sunderland.

The Swedish midfielder spent just one season with The Black Cats after admitting to feeling pangs of homesickness.

He has joined IFK for an undisclosed fee and is relishing the opportunity to play for his home-town club.

"It feels truly fantastic." Hysen told the club's official website. "It's wonderful to come home and play for IFK Gothenburg.

"It's nice that everything is done and I can focus on playing."
