Peter Reid wants a return to management.

Reid made his pitch in the Daily Star Sunday: "I'm enjoying my media work. I have also got a few properties to keep me occupied and I do some corporate work.

"But I want to return to management. I want to join a club with a clear plan for the future, then build a team.

"I'm not making excuses but three of the jobs I've had - Leeds, Coventry and Plymouth - were clubs with financial ­problems and became virtually impossible.

"But I did well at Manchester City - three finishes of fifth, fifth and ninth - and I am proud of my seven-and-a-half years at Sunderland."
