Former Sunderland and Manchester City boss Peter Reid is delighted to again be in club management at League OnePlymouth Argyle.
The former Everton midfielder - who had a successful spell in charge on Wearside - was last in English club management in 2005, when he managed Coventry City.
He told Plymouth's website: "I had a fantastic time with Thailand but when you're managing a national side you're not with the players as often as you would like to be.
"Tony Pulis then gave me the opportunity to join him at Stoke and it was fantastic to be an assistant manager in the Premier League which I still think is the best league in the world, even though England have been hopeless in the World Cup.
"But, I was a number two, and I have been a manager since I was 35, when I was player-manager at Manchester City.
"If you look at my managerial career, I have been successful with Manchester City, Sunderland and I kept Leeds up when the financial situation wasn't great.
"As a number two, it is nothing like being in the hot-seat and Tony [Pulis] is possibly right in saying that I need to get back in that seat and handle it, and it's something I'm really looking forward to."
