Ex-Sunderland keeper Gordon on Rangers radar

Rangers boss Ally McCoist has confirmed that he would like to sign former Scotland international Craig Gordon.

The 33-year old has been without a club for two seasons while battling knee injuries but is back to full fitness and has been training with 'Gers in recent times.

The former Heart of Midlothian keeper, who attracted a then-British record transfer fee of £9million when Sunderland bought him in 2007, has impressed McCoist who could bring him as competition for Cammy Bell in the summer.

"In an ideal situation I would like to offer him something - that would be great," said the 'Gers boss.
