Former Sunderland chief executive Margaret Byrne could be returning to football.

The Daily Mail says Byrne may stay in football as an agent.

Byrne is registered on the FA list of registered intermediaries — as agents are now called.

The lawyer has an inside track on all aspects of football business through her experience as a valued Premier League representative on the FA Council.

She said: "I've registered just to keep my options open."
