Former Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn feels for the Wolves board following their relegation.
Quinn has suffered a similar experience in his time with the Black Cats.
"When you are a player, yes you suffer - you've let the fans down, you feel bad," he told the Sunday Mercury.
"But I know Jez Moxey will now be thinking - can they hold on to players? Is the wage bill too high for next year with the amount of money coming in?
"The whole plan comes off the tracks. And it's going to be tough but the entire club are going to have to stick together now.
