Ex-Stoke, Utrecht striker Agudelo on New York City FC radar

New York City FC are showing interest in Juan Agudelo according to reports.

NBC Sports' Pro Soccer Talk suggests that the MLS expansion franchise, who will join the league in 2015, are looking at signing the 21-year old striker who is currently a free agent.

Agudelo is without a club after Stoke City had to let him go in May when they could not obtain a work permit for him to officially join.

The 18-time USA international joined the Potters from New England Revolution in January this year but was immediately loaned to Dutch club FC Utrecht because his UK visa was knocked back.

It is believed that Agudelo is still determined to play in the English Premier League but NYCFC are circling and could make a move for him before the end of the year.
