Ex-Stoke, Palace boss Pulis leaves Celtic great Lennon to Cardiff job

Neil Lennon is the new favourite to take the reins at Cardiff City after Tony Pulis pulled out of the running.

The Welsh club sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Thursday and it is believed that they have their eye on Lennon who left his post at Celtic at the end of last season.

A source close to Lennon the told the Daily Mail that former Hoops boss is indeed interested in the Cardiff post and is keen to speak with the Championship club.

Former Stoke City and Crystal Palace boss Pulis was believed to be a candidate for the Bluebirds role but he has ruled himself out of the race, making Lennon one of the leading contenders.

Reports suggest that Dundee's Paul Hartley is also an option while ex-Cardiff forward Craig Bellamy has also been touted but insists he is not quite ready for management.
