Former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis says Cardiff City have pulled off a transfer coup in signing Andreas Cornelius.
City have agreed an £8.5m transfer with FC Copenhagen for Cornelius, who is due to have a medical in South Wales this weekend.
"Cornelius was one of the players I was looking at, an exciting talent who has broken into the Danish national team," Pulis told the Western Mail. "I had been over to watch him - that's how serious we were about making a move.
"The scouting reports we had on him were first class and I decided it was time to go and watch him. It was clear immediately he has good pace, a lot of ability and a physical presence.
"He is a young player with all the talent needed to make an impact at Premier League level.
"His attitude is excellent, he works to improve and is a really good lad.
"For me this looks good business for Cardiff City and potentially it's an excellent first signing for Malky Mackay."
