Former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is under serious consideration at Sunderland.

The Daily Mail says while an offer from Derby County was said to be on the table for Steve McClaren, he appeared to be stalling in the hope of a call from Sunderland.

Tony Pulis has received a mention. As has Rene Meulensteen, the former Manchester United first-team coach, Stuart Pearce and Sven Goran Eriksson.
