Ex-Stoke boss Pulis becomes new Palace favourite

Tony Pulis has been made the new bookmaker's favourite to be installed as the next Crystal Palace manager.

The former Stoke City manager is now odds-on to take the Selhurst Park job according to Sky Bet despite reportedly pulling out of the race over the weekend.

Former Chelsea ace Dan Petrescu, currently manager at Dinamo Moscow, was the favourite on Monday but he has been unable to agree terms with the Potters, clearing a path for Pulis to replace Ian Holloway in south London.

Reports suggest that Palace reopened talks with Pulis on Tuesday, offering him an improved salary on the initial proposal, and promising him both a January transfer booty and a bonus if he can keep the struggling club in the Premier League.
