Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack is being linked with a return to Stamford Bridge.
The German, reports Fussball Transfers, is among the candidates for the football director's post at Chelsea.
Chelsea are keen to find a replacement for Michael Emenalo, who quit for AS Monaco last season.
And Ballack is among the candidates being considered, along with the likes of AS Roma's Monchi and Lille chief Luis Campos.
Another former Blues player, Julian Belletti, is also being discussed.
