Recently-departed St Johnstone striker Fran Sandaza is still on the radar of Rangers according to recent reports.
The Spaniard, who left the Saints in May, is on the hunt for a new club with 'Gers hoping they can bring him in if their transfer embargo is lifted.
Rangers, now in the Third Division after being voted out of the top flight, were close to signing Sandaza in January but a deal fell through, however, it is apparent that they are again keen on his services.
The Ibrox club will face competition from Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian and the Saints to sign the 27-year old but the fact 'Gers are in now the fourth tier could be a major stumbling block.
