Ex-Spurs striker: Salah wrecking Liverpool reputation with his cheating

Former Tottenham striker Garth Crooks says Mohamed Salah is wrecking his reputation after Liverpool's 4-3 thriller against Crystal Palace.

Salah went to ground in the vicinity of former Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho during the first half of the match, which Liverpool won 4-3.

The Egyptian scored a brace as the Reds battled back from being a goal down at half-time to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points, with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane also finding the net.

Andros Townsend, James Tomkins and Max Meyer all scored for Palace, with Liverpool's James Milner sent off with the score at 3-2.

Crooks slammed Salah for the diving incident, which resulted in several Palace players confronting him.

“It's pathetic," said former Tottenham striker Crooks.

"By the way, why doesn't Klopp say 'just play the game?'

“People are going to tackle you in the box but don't try and kid everybody because what you're doing is just messing with your credibility. He's messing with his reputation.

“Very soon, not just the professionals are going to say it's cheating but the supporters too."
