Clint Dempsey is on huge money quitting Tottenham for the Seattle Sounders.
The Daily Star says the American star has signed a three-and-a-half year deal worth £5.2m a year, a base salary that eclipses what David Beckham earned at LA Galaxy.
The deal allows Dempsey, 30, to go on loan in the MLS off-season, just like Robbie Keane and Beckham did during their time in the States.
