Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas doesn't believe Jose Mourinho was Manchester United's first-choice.

Jenas, now a pundit with BBC Sport, says Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was United's priority once deciding to dump Louis van Gaal last season.

He insisted: "If Mauricio Pochettino had been available he would have been the first choice of Manchester United, 100%.

"I think they would have taken him rather than Mourinho, every time."

Mourinho currently boasts a 100 per cent record at United.
