Ex-Spurs skipper Fenwick loving life at T&T's San Juan Jabloteh

Former Tottenham captain Terry Fenwick is enjoying his time in charge of T&T champs San Juan Jabloteh.

"As Jimmy Greaves would say, football really is a funny old game, and I certainly didn't imagine I'd end up managing a football team in the Caribbean," he tells hotspur magazine.

"Bobby Robson brought his Newcastle United side down to Trinidad in the 1999/2000 season and recommended me to a local professional team.

"I pretty much went through the motions for Bobby and made the trip to Trinidad & Tobago, but after spending a week assessing the situation decided I liked it here and committed to a one-year deal as manager.

"Unsurprisingly, the year stretched to two and now it's almost nine I've been out here, and we have led San Juan Jabloteh to back-to-back league championships twice and seven cup finals."
