Former Tottenham scouting chief Paul Mitchell has joined RB Leipzig.
Mitchell, who had served a lengthy notice period after formally resigning at Tottenham, will serve as Leipzig's head of recruitment and development and will work alongside sporting director Ralf Rangnick.
“It's a great honour and privilege for me to be able to work here in Leipzig and in Germany," Mitchell said. “I am fascinated by the opportunities that we have here.
“I'm looking forward to working here with Ralf Rangnick. We will put our heads together and try to develop the club as best as possible."
Rangnick added: “We're delighted to have Paul here. The results of his work at Southampton and Tottenham are very impressive.
“I'm confident that Paul will fit in very well here. I'm already looking to some exciting debates about potential new players.
“We will stick to our concept of only signing players up to 24 years old."
