Former Tottenham and Newcastle United fullback Stephen Carr has announced his retirement.
He has called time on his career after more than 400 league games for Spurs, Newcastle and Birmingham.
Full-back Carr, capped 44 times by the Republic of Ireland, made his debut for Tottenham in 1993.
Carr, who has a knee problem, said: "I'm going on 37 and now is the time to bow out.
"I felt OK in pre-season, but three operations in 18 months told me my knee has had enough."
