Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes had a big say in Etienne Capoue's arrival from Tottenham.
Capoue revealed the Hornets stopper played a role in his arrival at Vicarage Road.
Speaking the club website, he said: “The president (Gino Pozzo) was very happy to try to bring me here and I spoke with him a lot of times, and we found a good way to do the best for the club.
“I have known Heurelho Gomes for two years and he told me a lot of good things about the club, and this played a part in me choosing Watford.
“For me it's an opportunity to play. I need to play and to prove my qualities on the pitch, and I think Watford is the best thing for me."
