David Pleat admits he's excited by the form of Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon.
Former Spurs boss Pleat was interviewed by Everton's matchday programme for today's game.
"One of the biggest attributes Spurs have got at the moment is Aaron Lennon," said Pleat.
"Aston Villa kept him quiet in the first half of their game recently by getting to the right back Vedran Corluka and stopping the angle of the pass to Lennon.
"It will be interesting to see how Everton play against him."
Lennon's talents were all too apparent in Spurs' 9-1 thrashing of Wigan last month.
Pleat recalled: "I sat next to Martin O'Neill and at 6-1 with about 20 minutes to go, he said: 'I'm off now, ring me when it gets to 12!'
"It was that sort of game, it was amazing. Chris Kirkland made several good saves but Wigan weren't up for it and it seemed like every Tottenham attack was going to bring a goal. Not to single him out but Erik Edman struggled. Lennon really tortured him and his team-mates gave him no protection."
