Former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has been hit with a eight match Chinese Premier League ban.
The Daily Mail says AVB, now plying his trade with Shanghai SIPG, received the official censure after rubbing his fingers in the direction of man in black, Shi Szhenlu.
The 39-year-old manager saw Szhenlu deny his men a spot-kick during their 1-0 victory over Beijing Guoan. Enraged, he stormed towards the referee along with a number of his coaching staff.
However the Chinese Football Confederation were angry at his behaviour and strongly condemned him while handing out the ban.
A statement said: "Shanghai SIPG head coach Villas-Boas has verbally abused the match official and aimed (an) offensive gesture at him.
"His conduct has severely influenced society in a negative fashion."
