Former Spain U21 coach Julen Lopetegui is set to take charge of English Championship Wolves.
Marca says plans to install Lopetegui as the new Spain coach have been dealt a blow after he agreed to join English club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
RFEF president Angel Maria Villar had earmarked the 49-year-old as Vicente del Bosque's successor at La Furia Roja following Marcelino's decision to stay at Villarreal.
But with Lopetegui set to be appointed at the English Championship side, it leaves Joaquin Caparros as the only candidate free to take the role, having left Granada at the end of the 2014/15 season.
