Former Southampton assistant manager Erwin Koeman is backing Ajax's move for Dusan Tadic.

Ajax are being linked with an ambitious move for the Saints midfielder.

And Koeman told De Telegraaf: "Dusan is a top professional and a good person.

"A huge enthusiast. Ajax gets a fantastic player in every way. He has a lot of quality, can play in different positions. I think he prefers to be in the number-ten position himself.

"Dusan is enormously driven. After training he always goes on. Whether it is inside in the gym or outside with the ball."
