Former Southampton boss Alan Pardew has slammed wantaway defender Virgil van Dijk.

Pardew cast judgment on Van Dijk before his comeback in victory at Crystal Palace yesterday.

The ex-Saints manager feels the Liverpool target let the club down over the summer.

"The player, he has embarrassed his fans and he has embarrassed himself a little bit and the club. I'll be looking at him today and worrying. He is someone I'd be concerned about," said Pardew.
