Luke Shaw is set to make his debut for Manchester United this weekend.
The 19-year old left-back, who joined from Southampton for £27million in the summer, has not yet played for his new club because of a hamstring injury sustained in pre-season.
Louis van Gaal's defence was completely exploited on Sunday as Leicester City came from 3-1 down to win 5-3 at the King Power Stadium and it appears as though Shaw is now ready to step in and help the Red Devils.
Youngster Tyler Blackett is to serve a one-match suspension after bringing down Jamie Vardy late in the remarkable loss and Jonny Evans and Phil Jones are nursing foot and hamstring injuries respectively which opens the door for Shaw.
It is believed that the three-time England international will step straight into the left-back spot, which fellow recruit Marcos Rojo will vacate to partner Chris Smalling in central defence, while Rafael will remain at right-back for United's crunch meeting with West Ham United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
