Former Australian international coach Frank Farina is still keen on winning the race for head coach of the North Queensland Fury.
Following the departure of Ian Ferguson to be Perth Glory's assistant, the Fury have a vacant role to fill which is expected to be done in May and Farina confirms he would love to return to the coaching caper after his ill-fated tenure at Brisbane Roar.
"Definitely, I'll be throwing my hat in the ring," Farina said.
"Whenever something comes up, it's always something you'd look at. I'm definitely interested.
"I've still got family up that way, a lot of contacts, a lot of people that I still know from up there.
"I thinks it's a good fit but ultimately I think there'd be a lot of people that would be looking at it."
