Former Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire marquee man Freddie Ljungberg has signed with Scottish giants Celtic FC.
The 33-year old ex-Sweden international has joined the Hoops on a free transfer after spending the past two seasons in MLS, making over 50 appearances in the league, and winning the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup and being selected in the 2009 MLS XI whilst with the Sounders.
The ex-Arsenal and West Ham United attacking midfielder made a huge impact on soccer in the USA and his time in North America's top flight could only be looked upon with positivity.
He landed in Glasgow earlier this week to train with Celtic who have snapped him up just in time for the Old Firm derby with Rangers at Ibrox this weekend.
