Ralf Rangnick has emerged as the new favourite to take the manager's position at West Bromwich Albion according to Express & Star.
The German tactician, who most recently managed Schalke, has held talks with the Baggies this week putting him in pole position to replace Roy Hodgson who took the England job earlier this month.
Birmingham City's Chris Hughton and former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri - who today signed with Monaco - were in the running but it appears as though Rangnick, who has managed the likes of Hannover, Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, may land the role at The Hawthorns.
