Former Sampdoria striker Fabio Bazzani has backed Juventus' push for Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
The former Inter Milan and Samp coach is the new favourite to succeed Gigi del Neri at Juve in the summer.
Bazzani said: "Mancini is a great coach and in this respect Juve can play it safe with him. The club must make the right choice and needs someone who understands the pressure of handling a big club.
"Mancini still has the right personality to take charge of a strong dressing room."
Bazzani also backed Juve's interest in City captain Carlos Tevez: "He is a great player and will be worth any sacrifice Juve need to make to bring him to Italy."
