Fraizer Campbell's former Royal Antwerp teammates are delighted for the Sunderland striker over his England call.

Campbell played on-loan at Antwerp as a teenager while still with Manchester United.

Former teammate Spencer Verbiest, now with Red StarWaasland-Beveren, told Voetbal Primeur: "On the field he was a star at Antwerp, but he did not behave like a big man. He did not feel too good for Antwerp.

"He's become much stronger and knows where to run. Fraizer makes me think of Patrick Kluivert."

Alexandre Di Gregorio, still with Antwerp, also said: "Manchester United loaned him for a season, he was top scorer that season at Antwerp and made a great impression."
