Former AS Roma striker Ruggiero Rizzitelli has questioned their move for Arsenal attacker Gervinho.

Gervinho is on the brink of signing for the Giallorossi.

"Gervinho is not a hitman and he is too inconsistent," Rizzitelli told Leggo.

"I find him totally unconvincing. Even if Garcia requested him, I'd drop this move straight away.

"With Mattia Destro still injured, Roma will be very weakened in attack if they sell Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, who is one of the three or four top forwards in Serie A."
