Former AS Roma and Italy striker Marco Delvecchio has had a pop at Liverpool ace Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli is buzzing after scoring in the Capital One Cup win over Swansea City.

But Delvecchio said: "Balotelli says he has matured but he has been given too much time and clearly has not.

"He has great potential as a player but he has simply failed to make the leap of quality or show he can listen to technical staff."
