Former AS Roma No1 Francesco Antonioli is backing their move for FC Copenhagen goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
Olsen will be in Rome today for a medical.
Antonioli told Corriere dello Sport: "Sincerely for Olsen, I do not have a thorough knowledge, apart from having seen him like everyone else at the World Cup.
"I think, however, that the club, if it has made such a choice, will have made its own evaluations. From what I've seen, however, I think he's a good goalkeeper, even if he joins the Italian league, and in a team like Roma, it's another thing.
"Olsen is in the Swedish national team, so he is certainly a good player, even if I believe that Italian goalkeepers are always the best. But it is also true that a foreign goalkeeper, working with an Italian trainer, can improve a lot."
