Ex-ref Hackett: Man Utd defender Rojo deserved red. Oliver lacked courage

Former ref Keith Hackett says Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo should've been sent off against Everton.

Rojo's tackle on Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye was a big talking point from the 1-1 draw.

"I've no doubts [it was a red card]," Hackett said on talkSPORT.

"He launched himself, he's off the ground. It's reckless.

"You look at Michael Oliver's position and he was in a good place.

"He normally doesn't lack courage but maybe the situation got to him."
