Ex-Real Madrid president Calderon: Liverpool's Suarez wants Barcelona move

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon expects Barcelona to buy Liverpool bad-boy Luis Suarez.

Calderon thinks that Suarez will snub the European champions this summer and join Barcelona due to the abundance of forwards at the Bernabeu.

He told talkSPORT: "He is one of the best players in the world in his position. Both teams were interested in him.

"Real Madrid already have Karim Benzema at the moment and he's also a very good striker. I don't see any reason why they would change their strikers.

"It seems Barcelona are close to him, he is looking at going there.

"We also know he is close to Barcelona because his wife is from there and, I believe, his children were born there.

"Barcelona need him more than Real Madrid. They have Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema. Barcelona need a player like him much more."
