Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has attacked his successor Florentino Perez after their defeat to Villarreal.
Calderon accused Perez of deliberately leaking plans of a swap involving Cristiano Ronaldo for PSG attacker Neymar.
He barked: "Leaking that you are willing to change Cristiano for Neymar to cover the crisis and the discontent is a new awkwardness that can only harm the team, there are still many important games and it does not seem smart to blame the only one who can take the chestnuts out of the fire."
Calderon then focused on Real's attempts for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
He added: "With the operation of Kepa and the clumsy leak of Cristiano's change for Neymar, only two key positions of the team are managed: Goalkeeper and scorer, as G. Pintado would say: 'Bad for Madrid'."
Calderon concluded: "You have to remember (Alfredo) Di Stefano again: 'A big team - Real Madrid is the biggest for its history - it cannot complain of refereeing decisions, of undeserved and unfair results or of bad luck. If excuses are used, errors are not detected and it is impossible to correct them and improve."
