Royston Drenthe admits he is finally feeling settled in England which makes him want to stay at Reading for a long time.
The 26-year old Dutch winger joined the Royals from Russian club Alania Vladikavkaz earlier this summer and is now feeling at home in Berkshire after experiencing life in England whilst on loan with Everton from Real Madrid in 2011/12.
"I have a house and I don't have to stay at the stadium," Drenthe told the Reading Evening Post after he had to stay in the club hotel at the Madejski Stadium.
"I'm really happy to be here and I hope I can be here a long time."
He added: "I have to thank the gaffer (Nigel Adkins), I have to thank the coach and I have to thank everybody who is working around me.
"They worked really hard with me. It was a really tough pre-season but I'm in really good shape now."
