Former Real Madrid defender Miguel Tendillo says Sergio Ramos should not be played in midfield.

Ramos was lambasted for his performance in defeat at Champions League opponents Juventus last week.

Tendillo commented: "My coach once stuck me in midfield. In the end I said, 'Put me in my place, please'.

"I see Ramos being out of position.

"He has quality, but midfield is another world. It is not the same to seeing the ball at the back and facing traffic."
