Former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster says Zinedine Zidane knows he must drop Cristiano Ronaldo.
As Real battle to stay in touch with the LaLiga top four, Ronaldo is enduring his worst goalscoring season in 12 years.
Schuster told El Transistor: "Surely Zidane is considering removing Cristiano but he will ask himself: how can I tell him?
"When a player thinks that another player does not pass him the ball because he has something against him, it is serious, it's a red light, the coach has to intervene.
"Change coach? You have to see beyond the results, if the atmosphere is good in the dressing room..."
He continued: "For me, the main problem of Real Madrid this year is the lack of goals."
