Former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster is wanted at Malaga.
Malaga see the German as an ideal successor for Manuel Pellegrini, who is set to be named new manager of Manchester City this week.
Schuster, who also coached Xerez and Getafe in Spain, is a free agent.
