Former Real Madrid coach Benito Floro is set to resume his career in Ecuador.

The Spaniard is taking the top job at Barcelona de Guayaquil, which was confirmed by the club's president Eduardo Maruri.

"After a week of serious work with the team of executives from Barcelona, we have concluded that the best thing that can happen to Barcelona is to launch a project with a coach of the ability of the Spaniard, Benito Floro," said Maruri.

Floro will sign a two-year contract with Barcelona.
