Fabio Capello has spoken of his time working at Real Madrid with Ronaldo.

The pair have traded barbs over Ronaldo's weight.

Capello said, “Look, he weighed 96kg. I asked 'how much did you weigh when you won the World Cup [in 2002]?'

“84kg he said. 'Can you go down to 90kg at least?' And he didn't. It was a Madrid of words, not work. They were good players, but they weren't connected. It was difficult. They had cliques.

“When people ask me the best player I've worked with, I always say Ronaldo. Ronaldo was awesome, the best by far. Him and [Marco] Van Basten."
