Former Real Madrid captain Manuel Sanchis has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo overtook Raul's goalscoring record at Real Madrid this week.

"Cristiano is a player who helps the team a lot, he is the franchise and a fundamental part of this team that will qualify for all competitions.

"He is a man of duty, the leader and I think we'll have to talk about him for a long time."

Sanchis added: "Between Raul and Cristiano? I'll take two, I imagine that soon Cristiano will move ahead, but between these two there's no real choice."
